ISDN connections can be provided with a variety of enhanced features including Direct Dial In (DDI) and Caller Display.
There are two types of ISDN access – Basic and Primary rate access
Basic Rate Access (BRA)
Provides two channels at 64K each. Up to 8 devices can be connected and any two can operate at the same time Multiple BRAs can be connected to one site. Suitable for:
- Voice calls
- Connection of small PABX’s
- Integrated Data and Voice
- LAN or Remote Access
Primary Rate Access (PRA)
Provides up to 30 channels at 64K each
Multiple PRAs can be connected to one site. Suitable for:
- Connection of medium/large PABXs
- Video Conferencing
- Call Centres
- WANs
